FAQ   Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why are certain herbs not approved by FDA and why are they accepted throughout the world and not in the U.S.? Because it costs approximately $800,000,000 (not a misprint) to get FDA approval, no pharmaceutical company will go for FDA approval on any natural compound unless they can totally control it. They must charge enough to get the $800 million back before they can make a profit and if other companies can supply the public with a cheaper version the original company will go broke. Since artemisinin is used worldwide (except in the US) no single company can control it therefore it probably never will get FDA approval in the US. However pharmaceutical grade Artemisinin is inexpensive, effective, safe, legal, used everywhere in the world except the US and available on the Internet.

    1. Find an herb or chemical that works in its natural form. This means they first must have proof that it works.
    2. Find a way to copy the natural chemical in a factory.
      1. There are many natural chemicals that are too complicated to reproduce in a factory.
      2. Chemically alter the natural herb to make it unique so it can be patented.
        1. This revision process compromises the natural chemistry often making it a poison harmful to the body where the origional natural chemical was not a poison.
    3. Find a way to mass produce it for a price that can be marketed sufficiently to pay the $800 million research cost and then make a profit.
